Coolest Army Birthday Party Ideas

Your kids will love these army birthday party ideas for their birthday party!

Decorations

Decorate your little soldier's army theme birthday party with green colored balloons and streamers. Line your driveway with American flags. Cover your tables with green tablecloths and matching plates, cups, napkins and plastic wear all of which can be brought for a great price at eBay.

Be sure to make a few signs, using wood or stiff cardboard and green paint to direct the troops to the party you can put up a sign at the end of your street.

Here is an example.

Write the invitation wording as "CAMP JOHNNY 5th HOUSE on the right (your child's name)" and another one closer to your home that reads "CAMP JOHNNY SECURITY CHECK POINT". If you have an extra adult, dress them up in army fatigues or a camouflage shirt and salute the guests as they pass by.

At the end of your driveway a final sign that reads, "WELCOME TO CAMP JOHNNY, YOU ARE IN THE ARMY NOW."

Once the troops have arrived, have a holding area at the end of the driveway and have an adult apply some camouflage face paint and hand out their personalized dog tags. You can get both of these great items at eBay. There inexpensive, the kids will love them, and they make great nametags.

Line your troops up and march them down the flag lined driveway to the party area. Once the children are assembled in, a line have the birthday boy or girl inspect their troops. As the birthday child approaches each of their guests, have them salute them and pass out their certified army helmet or bandana and a small water gun.

Now your party is decorated and your troops have some party favors to take home with them.

Army Birthday Party Ideas for Games

Let the games begin! Before the party begins set up two obstacle courses using old tires or use large Styrofoam circles.

From the craft store that you can paint green, make two tunnels out of old plastic barrels, cut the bottoms out and remove any sharp edges. Then cover them in the left over green table covering. You can use duct tape to secure the covering to the outside of the barrels.

If you have a large tree in your yard tie a piece of extra durable rope to a branch (depending on the children’s height, you want them to be able to swing with their feet about a foot off the ground. Mark off a 2X2 area and fill it with sand. Be sure to make a sign warning the soldiers that it is QUICKSAND! Use a piece of left over green stream for a finish line.

Allow both teams to finish the obstacle course then the winning team members all get a “first” chance at whacking open the piñata! Be sure to hand out green goody bags for the children to put their prizes in.

Another variation to these birthday party ideas for games.

Switch your team members around and form new teams. Tie a green piece of streamer around one team’s arms so the children can tell the different team members apart. Armed with their squirt guns send them off to play hide and seek. The object of the game is for both teams to hide and if a hider is found and is hit with water from the squirt gun, they are injured and must give their gun to the child who squirted them and be lead back to home base. The children are not allowed to refill their guns so they have to make the water last till the end of the game.

The game is complete when all but one-team members is left. The team that collects the most squirt guns wins! Be sure to have them give the squirt guns back to their rightful owner.
